Holistic Therapies Explained
For those local to Stansted Mountfitchet, I offer Reflexology, Reiki, Breathwork, Aromatherapy and Massage for stress management. You can book these in 60 minute (£55), 90 minute (£80) or two-hour (£110) slots. All three modalities can be kept separate or combined during the appointments; I will work with what you need at that moment in time.
Pure holistic therapy sessions rather than combination or coaching sessions tend to be for those who …
- have stressful lives or high-pressure jobs who enjoy the pressure mentally but the tension is stored physically
- value holistic therapy and bodywork as part of their lifestyle routine to maintain their wellbeing
- struggle communicating their thoughts and emotions verbally
- are Empaths or HSPs and need to have a regular body reset and aligning; getting rid of everyone else’s shit and restoring their internal balance
- have medical issues such as IBS, insomnia, headaches, chronic tension, fatigue, MS, ME, anxiety, hormonal issues, depression, panic attacks
- are seeing a psychotherapist or counsellor to work through trauma mentally but also need to process and release trauma and stress from their bodies. I focus purely on bodywork with people who are healing from grief and trauma including but not limited to past abuse, miscarriages, abortions and operations. I am not a trained counsellor so it is not my place to engage in conversation about the trauma other than to listen to, support and refer. My role is to listen to you and your body, support you during the session and work with you to provide physical and energetic healing and reintroducing safety and connection to the body

Reiki
Reiki is one of those treatments which is hard to explain and you need to experience it to really understand what happens! The formal explanation is that it is the channelling of universal life force energy (Qi) through a practitioner’s hands which are placed on or above the client’s body to promote energetic, emotional and physical healing.

Reflexology
Reflexology is designed to calm the body and mind and soothe the nervous system.
It’s a specialist treatment which focuses on the feet and in a nutshell is based on the theory that our organs are mapped onto our feet. During the treatment I apply pressure to multiple points on your feet in order to remove toxins, clear energy pathways and promote healing.
The treatment itself is hugely relaxing and therefore beneficial to your overall well-being, but Reflexology also helps to tackle a wide range of issues including:

Healing Aromatherapy Massage
My Aromatherapy massage focusses on soothing the nervous system using essential oil plant extracts which I will specifically mix for you during the treatment to promote healing and target the emotional and physical issues that are contributing to your stress. I focus on emotional healing and muscle relaxation throughout the massage incorporating breathwork, reiki, sound therapy and meditation during the treatment if/when needed.
This is especially effective for those who suffer with tight muscles, headaches, and struggle to relax physically. When our physical body is tense, this sends confirmation signals to our brain that we need to be on high alert and therefore perpetuates our stress response.
Aromatherapy oils are derived from plants, fruit and trees and have been used for hundreds of years to help the body heal. Essential oils and aromatherapy massage are fantastic for helping:
